Aoife FitzGibbon O’Riordan is the co-founder and CEO of Togán Labs, a high-potential high-performing startup in the embedded open source space, located in rural MidWest Ireland. Aoife is a trained sociologist who moved into the open source world a number of years ago, learning the basics of embedded development from the ground up in a hands-on rapid learning curve apprenticeship format. In her role as CEO of Togán Labs, she has just completed a sought after, competitive Irish government enterprise qualification which came with seed funding investment for Togán Labs. Aoife’s other many interests include her involvement in queer and women’s movements in Ireland and elsewhere. She founded Bi+ Ireland, a movement focused on how queer people can act as better allies to one another. She was also a high-profile blogger, with a large readership on the queer women’s perspective on atheism for an extended period.
